This was one of the items recommended by nakata on the HungryGoWhere.com and according to him, Twelve + One's was simply the best they ever had in Singapore, close to the ones you find in Paris or Brussel.

This long and thin pastry made of choux pastry, filled with chocolate-flavoured pastry cream (crème pâtissière) and topped with choclate fudge is a very small and skinny one, definitely not the gigantic 5-inch ones from Pan Pacific.
Frankly speaking, I don't fancy this much as much when I am young. The dough is crisp and hollow and since it is not soggy, I would say this is freshly made. However, having eaten so many chocolate desserts ranging from the Laurent's famous chocolate tart to chocolate bonbons from Canelé Pâtisserie Chocolaterie over a span of a week, chocolate cream don't fancy anymore.
I guess my verdict is that it will be a must-try if you are a chocolate eclair but go for another chocolate dish to curb chocoholics addiction.

To me, this chocolate eclair is kind of disappointing. The dough is soft and the chocolate cream inside is simply too creamy. It lacks the rich chocolate taste. Maybe I haven't eaten many eclairs but if you are a chocolate fan, I think you wouldn't like this.

hi there, after reading your post on choc eclair, you might like to try this. Swiss Baeckerei - 97 Frankel Avenue, Frankel Estate Tel: 6441 8766.
It is a rather small cosy place, more like a bakery, they've also got stuff like rosti and other cakes, you can also try their lemon tart.
Enjoy!
Hi Anon,
Thank you for the recommendation. I will drop by and have a look.
Did an internet search and it seems to be a good place for breakfast but I guess I will do it next month since I don't live in the East. =)
